Effects of Encoding and Retrieval in Recall

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the age-related and encoding-, or retrieval- conditions-related differences in recall and to assess any possible interaction between encoding and retrieval conditions. 108 first and fifth grade children and college adults were presented a 30 item set of pictures for recall it a 2-trial study-test procedure.
